I agree with the other responses you get as a park is an excellent choice for a baby shower and it is a good neutral place to meet. Have a potluck, while you're there.
In reality it was just a baby shower last week in a park with a covered area could reserve and was very pleasant. Or you can call a restaurant and reserve a banquet room.
Why not a public park, shelters or picnic tables? It is free and the weather was fantastic!
